Bucktail Reunion
The Bucktails are coming to Wellsboro, August 1 - 3, 2014. Please attend this unique opportunity to celebrate the Bucktail history of the area and remembrance of those who served.Bucktail Camp will be open to the public on Saturday, Aug 2, at Woodland Park. See camp life including the Ol't 1858 Bucktail Wagon and the Bucktail Archives Tent. If you have questions about the Bucktails - stop in.There will also be activities on the Green in Wellsboro on Saturday from 10 AM to 4 PM for the public including living history demonstrations / displays, kids activities, and an Authors Row with the largest selection of Bucktail books available in one location. Come see original Civil War rifles and artifacts and much more.On Sunday, Aug 3, join in at the 9 AM Civil War church service on the Green (please bring your own chairs). The service will be followed by a wreath laying at the Soldiers and Sailors' Monument. at 11 AM, the Bucktail Procession will begin from the Green down Main Street to the Nichols Street Cemetery where military honors will recognize 7 Bucktails.
