The Green Monster is a trail challenge designed for both runners and hikers of all ages offering a 15k, 25k or 50k option. The course is nestled in the mountains of the Tioga State Forest just North of the PA Grand Canyon. It is the mission of the Tyoga Running Club to showcase the beauty and difficulty of this terrain. You will be confronted with challenging single-track trails, steep climbs, and technical descents all of which are very unforgiving. You will also find several dicey stream crossings and an occasional log in which you will have to hurdle. This course is not for the faint of heart and will challenge the most conditioned athlete! Ages 2-11 are invited to this free fun-filled afternoon! Kids will decorate pumpkins, listen to "The Legend of Spookley the Square Pumpkin" and see the movie, play carnival games, and enjoy snacks. Kids should wear washable clothing. Individual photos will be taken of the children with their pumpkins and posted on Fifth Season's Facebook page for a chance to win a prize.
